Equity Officers
The SLS has created the role of Equity Officer to help provide an equity-focused lens on its policies and activities. There are two Equity Officers appointed by the Executive Committee who work with elected representatives to support and advise the SLS by providing additional perspectives about how to create inclusive policies and events. They also work to alleviate concerns for students who face discrimination, encounter barriers to success, or require support accessing accommodations. The Equity Officers ensure studentsβ equity-related concerns (collected through town halls, feedback forms, office hours, etc.) are brought to SLS meetings while providing an equity lens both on policy-making through the Student Life and Academic Committee as well as for inclusive event planning and budgetary decision-making through the Social and Finance Committee. In addition, the Equity Officers can offer support and/or referrals, where appropriate, to students facing equity-engaged issues.

The Equity Officers are accepting anonymous concerns regarding equity-engaged matters. If you would like to share a concern anonymously, please use this form.
OCI Complaints Process
The SLS has been actively working towards creating a new process through which equity-engaged complaints about the On-Campus Interview (OCI) process can be submitted. Until that process is ready, the Equity Officers are ready to meet with students who have concerns and assist them in navigating the current process. You can reach out to them at sls.equityofficers@gmail.com.
